Setting it up
Get IPlayerTV for Windows
Install it from the Microsoft Store, or from the package we host — both routes are at the top of this page. Then open IPlayerTV from the Start menu; the pairing steps below are what you see on first launch.
Open the app and note the pairing code
The first time IPlayerTV opens on your PC it shows a 6-digit pairing code and a QR code, with a countdown. The code stays valid for about 15 minutes, and the app keeps checking on its own — once you finish the next step it continues by itself.
Enter the code on iplayertv.com/activation
On your PC, in a browser, go to iplayertv.com/activation and sign in (or create an account). Type in the code. You can also scan the QR code with a phone camera, which opens the same page with the code already filled in.
The PC picks up the pairing within a few seconds — there is no need to restart the app.
Add your playlist
IPlayerTV is a player, not a content provider — it ships with no channels. On the dashboard, add the playlist you already have from your provider: either an M3U URL, or an Xtream Codes login (server address, username, password).
The playlist is imported once and cached against your account, so the app opens quickly afterwards rather than re-downloading a large file every time.
Start watching
Back on the PC, your channels, films and series appear in the app. Progress, favourites and the last channel you watched are stored on your account, so they follow you to any other device you pair.
Installing the .zip by hand
The Microsoft Store is the easier route on Windows and updates itself. This ZIP is here for machines where the Store is unavailable or blocked. It is the same app as a self-contained folder: unzip it anywhere and run IPlayerTV.exe — nothing is installed and nothing is written outside your user profile.
1.Download and unblock the ZIP
Use the download button at the top of this page. Your browser may hold the file back and ask you to keep it — that prompt is about the file being uncommon, not about it being harmful.
Before extracting, right-click the ZIP → Properties, and if you see an "Unblock" checkbox at the bottom, tick it and press OK. That saves Windows from re-checking every one of the files inside.
2.Extract it somewhere permanent
Right-click → Extract All. Put it somewhere it can stay, such as your Documents folder — the app runs from where you extract it, so moving or deleting the folder later removes the app. Do not run it from inside the ZIP.
3.Run it, and get past SmartScreen
Open the folder and double-click IPlayerTV.exe. A blue "Windows protected your PC" panel appears because the app is not code-signed — click "More info", then "Run anyway". You only need to do this the first time.
To keep it handy: right-click IPlayerTV.exe → Show more options → Send to → Desktop, or start the app and pin it to the taskbar.
4.Pair it with your account
The app shows a 6-digit code on first launch. Enter it at iplayertv.com/activation in any browser — the same PC is fine — and your playlist is picked up straight away.
