Media Player for Android TV and Google TV
Android TV and Google TV both run Android under the surface, so the same media player works on either. IPlayerTV is that player — install it from Google Play, pair with a 6-digit code, add your M3U or Xtream Codes playlist, and your channels appear.
Every device gets its own 7-day free trial, and no card is required to start it. Access is per device, so pairing a second TV starts its own trial rather than sharing the first one.

Setting it up
Get the app onto the device
Use whichever of the two routes at the top of this page is open — Google Play when the listing is live (from the TV, or from the Play website on your phone with the TV as the target), or the .apk we host, sideloaded onto the device.
Open the app and note the pairing code
The first time IPlayerTV opens on your Android TV it shows a 6-digit pairing code and a QR code, with a countdown. The code stays valid for about 15 minutes, and the app keeps checking on its own — once you finish the next step it continues by itself.
Enter the code on iplayertv.com/tv/pair
On your phone or computer, go to iplayertv.com/tv/pair and sign in (or create an account). Type in the code. You can also scan the QR code with a phone camera, which opens the same page with the code already filled in.
The Android TV picks up the pairing within a few seconds — there is no need to restart the app.
Add your playlist
IPlayerTV is a player, not a content provider — it ships with no channels. On the dashboard, add the playlist you already have from your provider: either an M3U URL, or an Xtream Codes login (server address, username, password).
The playlist is imported once and cached against your account, so the app opens quickly afterwards rather than re-downloading a large file every time.
Start watching
Back on the Android TV, your channels, films and series appear in the app. Progress, favourites and the last channel you watched are stored on your account, so they follow you to any other device you pair.
Android TV versus Google TV
Google TV is an interface layer on top of Android TV rather than a different operating system. Apps built for Android TV run unchanged on Google TV, which is why there is one build for both rather than two.
The visible difference is the home screen: Google TV puts recommendations first, Android TV puts app rows first. Neither changes how the player behaves once you open it.
Installing the .apk by hand
Android TV installs a plain .apk, but it has no browser and no obvious file manager, so the work is really about getting the file onto the device. Two routes below: a downloader app on the TV, or ADB over the network from a computer.
1.Unlock Developer options
Settings → System → About, scroll to "Android TV OS build" (or "Build") and press Select seven times. A toast confirms you are now a developer, and Developer options appears under Settings → System.
2.Allow the app that will do the installing
Settings → Apps → Security & restrictions → Unknown sources, and enable the entry for the downloader or file manager you are about to use.
3.Fetch the .apk on the TV
Install a downloader app from Play, open it and enter the download address from this page. When the file lands, it offers to install it.
4.Or push it from a computer with ADB
Turn on "USB debugging" (which also covers network debugging) in Developer options, find the TV's IP under Settings → Network, and install from your computer.

5.Pair it with your account
Launch IPlayerTV, note the 6-digit code, and enter it at iplayertv.com/tv/pair. The setup steps below take it from there.

IPlayerTV does not provide, host, resell or index any channels, and it comes with no content of any kind. You supply a playlist you are entitled to use. If you do not already have one, this app is not where you get it.
This build is made for a remote and a television, so it is not the right fit for a handset. There is no separate Android phone app today — if you want IPlayerTV in your hand, the iPhone and iPad app is the one to watch.
